Synthro
Outlook

Your HR calendar, already in Outlook.

Approved leave, shifts, check-ins, hearings and goal deadlines go straight into the Outlook calendar your team already works from. On every plan.

What lands in Outlook

The HR dates that decide your week

  • Approved leave, on the calendars of colleagues who have connected one, so the team can see who is out.
  • Shifts when they are rostered or accepted, taken off again when a shift is cancelled.
  • Check-in meetings, on the employee's and the manager's calendars.
  • Disciplinary hearings, actions and appeals, on the employee's and the manager's calendars.
  • Goal deadlines, on the goal owner's calendar.
  • South African public holidays, added in one press.

How it works

01

Sign in with Microsoft

In Synthro, open Settings, then Integrations, and connect the Microsoft account your work email is on. If your company runs Microsoft 365, your IT administrator may need to approve Synthro the first time.

02

Work as normal

Approve leave, roster a shift or book a check-in in Synthro and it is on Outlook within seconds. Nobody sends an invite.

03

Everyone sees the same week

Each person who connects gets their own events, and colleagues see who is out. It is a one-way sync, so Synthro stays the record.

Approve once

The decision is recorded in Synthro and lands in Outlook by itself, on the right calendars.

Who is out, at a glance

Approved leave shows on colleagues' calendars, so meetings get booked around it.

Check-ins and hearings on time

Both the employee and the manager have the date, in the calendar they already open every morning.

Each person's own account

People connect their own Microsoft account and can disconnect it whenever they choose.

FAQ

Common questions

Does Synthro work with Outlook and Microsoft 365?

Yes. Each person connects the Microsoft account their work email is on, and Synthro adds their approved leave, shifts, check-in meetings, hearings, goal deadlines and South African public holidays to that Outlook calendar.

Will our IT administrator need to approve it?

In a Microsoft 365 company, possibly, the first time. Synthro is a Microsoft-verified publisher, so the approval screen shows who is asking and exactly which permissions: managing calendar events and reading the basic profile.

Is the Outlook sync two-way?

It is one-way. Synthro adds and updates events in Outlook; changes made in Outlook stay in Outlook, and an event deleted there comes back the next time that item syncs from Synthro.

Which plans include the calendar sync?

Every plan: Basic, Premium and Enterprise. It is part of the licence, and each person in your company can connect their own calendar.

See it on your own calendar.

Thirty minutes on your own setup, calendar included.
